  • Higher Certificate: There are various higher certificates offered by IoTs, and the duration of higher certificate is 2 years. One can do higher certificate courses with basic qualification. Though there are some fixed eligibility criterias to meet the requirements. 
  • Higher Diploma: Students opt for higher diploma in Ireland and higher diplomas are of 1 year. One can do higher diploma courses with basic qualification. Though there are some fixed eligibility criterias to meet the requirements. 
  • Graduate Diploma: Like higher certificates and higher diplomas offered by the universities of Ireland, a wide variety of graduate diplomas are given by the universities, and the duration is of 1 year maximum. Many confused the difference between diplomas and higher diplomas. The difference between a diploma and a higher diploma is the extra study time to undertake more advanced learning.
  • Post Graduate Diploma: Post graduate diplomas are very popular in the universities of Ireland. A majority of students opt for PG diplomas in a wide range of disciplines. Post Graduate diploma consists of a wide variety of subjects and the duration is 1 to 2 years.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degrees are mostly same in all universities in Ireland. The duration of Bachelor’s degree is 3 years maximum, but for the medicine, veterinary science and architecture programs are for 5-6 years.
  • Honours Bachelor’s Degree: Duration of Honours Bachelor’s degree is 4 years maximum, but for the degree in medicine, degree in veterinary science and architecture programs are for 5-6 years.
  • Master’s Degree: Duration of master degree programs are mostly 1 year with exception to certain programs that may extend to 16-24 months, but not more than 2 years.
  • Doctoral Degree: Doctoral degree programs are research level programs. The duration for doctoral or PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) programs are 3 years of research work followed by dissertation.

  • Bank of Ireland UG Scholarship: - This scholarship is applicable for the most promising UG international students, either in Science or in Humanities, to follow a fully funded part-time honours degree course. Stipend is given of approximately 27731 Euro, deadline is August every year.

  • Scholarship for Ontario College Graduate - Ontario College students can study honours degree programs in Ireland. Graduates of 2 years college programs in Ontario securing an honours degree can pursue 2 further years of study in Ireland. The scholarship covers up to 7144 Euro. The deadline is May every year.

  • The Walsh Scholarships - The Walsh Fellowships are awarded to brilliant international graduates seeking research opportunities in agricultural & food research in Ireland. 30 new students every year are awarded this fellowship of 22,000 Euros. The deadline for the scholarship is September every year.

  • UCD Global Scholarships - University College Dublin offers scholarships for international students in any discipline of UG and PG courses. Scholarship amount offered 3233 Euro per year under different schemes.

  • NUI Galway International Students Scholarships - Non- EU meritorious students can get this scholarship if enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. Scheme-specific awards amounting from 2068- 5358 Euro for UG and PG students 

  • University College Cork Excellence Scholarships - Excellence Scholarships are available to intended Ph.D. degree pursuers for both, EU and Non-EU students of University College Cork, funding covers 3233 Euro per year for Ph.D. research.
