Zarmed University is a private medical institution with two fully operating campuses in Uzbekistan. The first original campus is in Bukhara, and the second is in Samarkand. The university offers a 6-year General Medicine (MD, equivalent to an MBBS) programme tailored to serve international students, keeping English the official medium of instruction. The tuition fee for the programme is ₹2.34 lakh per year, which is a very attractive aspect for Indian students to pursue their MBBS in Uzbekistan at Zarmed University. The medical programme is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and recognised by India’s NMC due to compliance with FMGL Regulations. Students enrolling in the programme will get access to the available learning resources and facilities at Zarmed University. This includes state-of-the-art laboratories, high-tech simulation centres, and clinical training facilities nationwide. As the first and only private medical institution in Uzbekistan, Zarmed University hosts a growing and vibrant international student community of over 180 students from more than 10 countries. The university is often known as the Zarmed University of Innovation or Zarmed University Medical Institute among international students. It was officially founded in 2022; however, its original roots date back to 1997.

Bukhara has a continental climate similar to that of a desert. The summer is extremely hot, and winter is very cold. Across the year, the frequency of rainfall is very low, and the sky is mostly clear.
The weather is extremely hot and dry during the summer. The temperature often goes up to 40°C. Throughout the time, the weather is sunny, and rainfall is rarely seen. Students must wear light clothing, apply sunscreen and stay hydrated all the time. It is the best time to explore Bukhara.
Winter is extremely cold here. The temperature fluctuates due to occasional snowfalls, and it falls below the freezing point. However, there are proper heating systems inside the academic buildings and hostels.
