Overview
Trent University, established in 1964, is a public liberal arts university in Peterborough, Ontario, with a satellite campus in Oshawa. Trent University is regarded as one of the best in Canada. Ontario's then-premier, John Robarts, authorized the foundation of Trent University in the area. Trent University has an annual economic effect of $77 million in the Durham area and is the third biggest employer in Peterborough. On each of its two major campuses, Trent University offers students a transforming experience. The Peterborough (Symons) campus is located on the banks of the Otonabee River and has outstanding structures and scenic surroundings. This campus, which covers over 1400 acres, is around an hour and a half from downtown Toronto.

Trent University has a vast alumni network that spans various countries. It has a long list of well-known graduates who are leaders in their fields. John Horgan, who is the premier of British Columbia, Chris Hodgson, who used to be a cabinet minister in Ontario, Stewart Wheeler, who is an ambassador to Iceland, Tim Cook, who is a historian, Nancy Anne Sakovich, who is a model and actress, James Orbinski, who started Doctors Without Borders, and Richard Harrison, who is a poet, is among them.

To be admitted to Trent University, Indian applicants must have a grade-point average of 70% in the top four courses. For undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and certification programs, Trent University charges an application fee of $90 that is not refundable. This application fee must be paid along with the completed application, required papers, SOP, and LOR for admission. It is also important to know that paying the application fee does not guarantee admission.

Trent also offers a number of career opportunities, including full-time, part-time, and non-academic positions. The Trent Work Study Program (TWSP) provides financing for part-time work for domestic students with financial requirements during the fall and winter terms.
