Lalitpur, also known as Manigal, is a new Nepalese metropolitan city situated in the south-central region of the Kathmandu valley. It is primarily recognised for its cultural legacy, notably its arts and crafts culture. It is known as the city of festivals and feasts, magnificent old art, and the creation of metals and stone carving statues. The location is advantageous for students since they may study while enjoying picturesque views and being near to nature, away from the regular crowds, pollution, and city worries. It may interest you to know that the city was originally constructed in the form of the Buddhist Dharma-Chakra.

This building contains the many departments and labs of Basic Science. The Histology lab, Biochemistry lab, Physiology lab, Community Medicine lab, Pathology lab, Microbiology lab, and Pharmacology lab are all situated in this block. It also serves as a home for the preclinical dentistry laboratory. Each of these laboratories has a surface area of around 55 m2 and can accommodate a group of 25 pupils. The dissection hall is about 110 m2 in size and can accommodate more than 100 students at one time. Two contemporary air-conditioned lecture rooms with LCD projectors, OHPs, whiteboards, and cordless microphone systems are located on the top level.

The Tribhuvan International Airport is about 6 kilometres away, making travel convenient.
