Massey University

Massey University began as the New Zealand Agricultural College, which was founded in 1926 as the 6th College of the University of New Zealand and renamed the Massey Agricultural College in 1927. The first female student to enroll at Massey to study poultry farming did so four years after the school started welcoming students. The way Massey University looks now is because of mergers and consolidations that happened after World War II and the Great Depression. These included a merger with Victoria University of Wellington. This led to its elevation to university rank in 1964, and the following year saw the adoption of its current name, Massey University.

Massey University has locations in three different New Zealand cities: Auckland, Wellington, and Palmerston North (the oldest Manawatu campus). The Auckland campus is a modern, roomy, and environmentally friendly building in the Albany area that is close to sand beaches. It has state-of-the-art facilities in science, technology, and finance. At Massey University, you can take classes in one of five colleges: Business, Creative Arts, Health, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Sciences.
