The institute considers itself a global business school as it also has campuses in five cities in different parts of the world. There tuition fee for the UG course is INR 44.8L and for the PG course is INR 66.3L. Being global and multicultural is not a strategy but the identity of the institute. HIBS was founded in 1964 as the Arthur D. Little School of Management. Arthur D. Little is known as the world's leading management consulting company. The business school then partnered with the Caroll School of Management at Boston College. The school was purchased by Swedish billionaire Bertil Hult in 2002 and reorganized and re-established as Hult International Business School. They acquired Hudson University, an American private university located in Bloomsberg, London, which brought HIBS to American shores.

Programs offered by include only one undergraduate program: the Bachelor of Business Administration. Hult's BBA program offers three study paths: global standard path (3 years), American standard path (4 years), and 2-3 years for transfer students. Practical learning options are integrated into the BBA program. This includes one-on-one customer consulting, simulations, real-world business scenarios, and hackathons. There are 6 master's programs and one MBA program available to students. Master's degrees are offered in the fields of International Business, Finance, International Marketing, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Social Entrepreneurship. Graduate programs are available only at campuses in Boston, London, San Francisco, and Dubai. There MBA is offered in five formats: Global MBA, Executive MBA, Hybrid MBA, Flexonline MBA, and Direct Online MBA. Despite differences in format, all MBA programs have a similar structure. The Global MBA program is offered for a period of one year. The Executive MBA program is offered on a part-time basis. The course duration can be up to 2 years.

On-campus housing for students is provided by Hult House, located near the Boston campus. The room is equipped with amenities such as washing machines on each floor, a gym and climbing wall on site, high-speed internet, air conditioning, a football field, an exchange hall, an entertainment area, a common study, an auditorium, 24/7 security, etc.
