Our research strength has grown by 54% in REF 2021 to 538, from 350 in REF 2014. 92% of the research is recognized as world-leading, internationally excellent or Internationally recognized. REF 2021 is the largest review to date, with 208.5 full-time equivalent employees submitting reviews, a 61% increase since REF 2014.

Our university international office provides advice from the early stages of the application process through to arrival in London. There is a free pre-sessional orientation for international students, and there are also academic preparation courses for some university programs (as well as preparatory English). It has secure riverside accommodation on campus with 24-hour security. There are approximately 1200 rooms available in the UEL Student Village. All rooms have a private bathroom and an internet point. There are several private university residences nearby. The accommodation service can advise you on shared accommodation and boarding arrangements.
