College of Medical Sciences

A wide range of English-language medical courses are available via the College of Medical Sciences. The institution provides instruction in all disciplines to both domestic and foreign students, and thus offers instruction in a variety of languages. All of the kids, who come from different parts of the world, speak different languages, and have their own unique cultures, can communicate well with one another.

Initial backing for the College of Medical Sciences came from both the Nepalese government and Kathmandu University. The school is a member of several international medical organisations. The institution has received accreditation from a number of different bodies in recent years. A few of the more prominent acknowledging bodies are: (Kathmandu University), (Nepal Medical Council), (National Medical Commission-NMC), (World Health Organization-WHO), (General Medical Council), (Sri Lanka Medical Council), and (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates)

They provide supplemental material for the FMGE examination. In order to practice medicine in India, medical school grads need to take and pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). The Central Library has a calm and relaxing ambience, as well as air conditioning. Apart from National and International Journals, the library is well supplied with over 20,000 reference volumes. Aside from that, the library and all departments have Internet access and access to publications published on the HINARI website, which provides access to over 17000 full-text medical journals. The college library also provides services to local medical talents working at other institutions in town to fulfil their needs. The Library is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and until 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Aside from the Central Library, each department has its own library for staff and students to use. There is also a customised information service with 10 Tablet Computers and photocopying capabilities.

There are three different hostel campuses for boys and girls: Bageshwori (Juniors), Keyman (Juniors), Senior Girls, + Interns from Kshetrapur. The wardens of the Boys' and Girls' hostels, as well as several senior lecturers, are housed inside these buildings. There is a guest room for the students' parents, as well as a waiting area for any guests. All hostels provide adequate mess/canteen facilities to both students and staff, with a wide variety of culinary dishes including Nepali, South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Continental, and others. The meals are made under strict sanitary control and are of excellent nutritional and palatable quality. Each room has enough space for three to four people to occupy. Rooms are spacious and well-ventilated, and amenities like wardrobes and mattresses are provided to students. There are toilets and showers on each level, video monitoring, and patrolling security personnel on hand to address any issues. The hostel has free Wi-Fi. Everybody who works or studies at the College of Medical Sciences may eat for free at the cafeteria. On-campus dining options like the cafeteria and mess hall provide cheap, healthy options. Many different types of cuisines are represented here, including Indian. Hostel cafeterias and dining halls provide both Indian and Nepali cuisines for the Indian students who are studying in the area around the College of Medical Sciences.
