Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University

Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, which used to be called Russian State Medical University or RSMU, is a school for medical education that was started in 1906 in Moscow, Russia. It was the first university in Russia to provide degrees to women and is now one of the biggest medical schools in the world, making it a top choice for students pursuing an mbbs in russia. They have welcomed overseas students since 1959. Since 2013, they have provided both degree and language programmes in English, in collaboration with institutions around Europe. The University's 115 academic chairs are organised into eight different faculties. More than 250 different courses spanning the scientific, humanities, and medical disciplines are taught by over 2000 professors. The clinical facilities of the University provide cutting-edge therapy for children and adults of all ages. They also perform active preclinical and clinical trials of novel medications and medical equipment (on a contract basis). Throughout its existence, the University has trained over 70,000 physicians who have fulfilled and continue to fulfil their professional duties in various areas of Russia and abroad. The University's current plan is to be a competent recipient of the honour and recognition of previous generations, as well as to continue and develop the University's strong traditions. Since its inception, the Foreign Students Teaching Faculty has helped over 3,000 students from 70+ countries complete their degrees. There are around 800+ Indian students.
