How to get your Germany Student Visa

All students from other countries worldwide can apply for a German Student visa upon notification of admission to a university. Obtaining a student visa requires university acceptance, proof of funds, and document verification. Students can obtain a residence permit to start studying or look for a university place in Germany. The visa is also valid for preparatory programmes. To obtain a German Student Visa (National Visa / Type D), students can follow the steps below:

    Log in to the Consular Services Portal for direct access to all services, including the secure online application procedure for visas to enter and stay in Germany. Complete the online application by providing the correct details.

    Gather Required Documents

    Applicants must gather the necessary documents to complete the visa application, such as a completed VIDEX portal form, a valid passport, APS Certificate, University Admission Letter, etc.

    Complete Your Application Online

    Complete the application online through the official immigration or government portal. Fill out the required DS-160 (or equivalent) form and upload your supporting documents. The application will be reviewed, and you will receive a confirmation via the portal.
