Overview

Over the years, UWE Bristol has evolved and transformed to meet the needs of students and today's higher education. After years of transition, Bristol Polytechnic gained university status in 1992 and became the University of the West of England. According to the Postgraduate Teaching Experience Survey (PTES) 2020, the school remains in the top 10 for student satisfaction with graduate programs for the third year in a row.

It is a public university with its main campus located in Frenchay and three other campuses namely the City Campus, Glenside Campus and Gloucester Campus respectively. It is one of the most famous universities in the UK. Currently, the university has 31,877 students, including 22,927 undergraduate students and 8,950 graduate students. The student population includes 1,406 European students and 3,867 foreign students.

The university offers more than 600 courses across five faculties, including Business and Law, Environment and Technology, Arts, Creative Industries and Education, Health and Applied Sciences, and Associate Faculty. The university achieved an overall student satisfaction level of 88% in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2020, ranking 2nd in the UK and 7th in the UK. The school is also rated Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) for providing exceptional teaching and learning programs for students. The university has risen seven places and is now 21st in the UK, the highest among all other institutions established after 1992 in the Guardian University Rankings 2021. The university has 31,877 students enrolled, including 22,927 undergraduate students and 8,950 graduate students. The student body includes 1,406 European students and 3,867 international students.

With more than 600 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and short-term levels, also we offers a wide range of subjects in the areas of creative arts, health, science, business, law, engineering, environment & technology. The school is renowned for the quality of its teaching and for the overall student experience. They offers airport pick-up for new students as well as orientation events during the first weeks of term. Students can also take free English language courses offered by the Center for English Language and Academic Skills throughout the year. More than 3,000 students live in on-campus residence halls, and many have private bathrooms.

The school follows a semester schedule with intakes in January & September. The application process for international undergraduate students is similar to that of domestic students except for some additional requirements for international students.

The school offers a variety of career support to graduates in the form of the following services: Alumni Connect - a website that connects students and allows them to find  and contact industry experts and experts. A Career Toolkit is also provided by the School through the Information Center to help them look professional in their CVs, Interviews, Resume, and more. The school also provides  career coaching services. The school organizes fairs and helps students meet employers and employers on  campus. More than 170 exhibitors and 3,500 students attended the job fair. More than 80 organizations offer volunteer opportunities for students. A volunteer fair is also organized to create opportunities for students. They provides links to websites like the Career Information Center, GradLink, and more. To look for jobs in the UK.

Close links have been forged with leading employers such as Airbus, Hewlett Packard, CERN, Rolls Royce, NHS, Aardman Animation & BBC to help develop relevant content for our courses and help Students are exposed to a variety of career opportunities.

Our graduates earn an average of £38,415.51, mostly ranging from 40,415.51 to 50,415.51 based different profiles.

There Internships are offered to students in the form of internships, career events, networking and skills development programmes. Career resources also include strong links to top employers and internship opportunities to gain industry experience.

 According to High Fliers Research, Graduates in 2022 are the third most targeted after staff in the Times Top 100 UK graduate employers. Graduates benefit from the participation of approximately 350 renowned employers in the Recruitment Program at the University. The average salary of graduates is said to be 38,000 GBP (37.87 lakh INR).

Our graduate employment rate is 94%, reflecting the university's excellent employment opportunities. The school has consistently been in the top 10 universities targeted by top graduate employers for the past 3 years. Business groups PwC, Goldman Sachs, BP, Unilever,  BBC, HSBC, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, KPMG, Deloitte and Atkins are some of the prominent employers employing Bristol University graduates.
