USMLE Step 3: The two-day exam of Step 3 is taken after the first year of residency in the US. This is the final step which gauges the performance of the individual to meet the criteria of adequate patient care. It includes computer simulations of patient care and multiple-choice questions.
Formerly known as the PLAB the licensing exam needs to be undergone by all medical graduates who wish to practise medicine in the UK. Bifurcated into 2 parts, Plab 1 is a multiple-choice exam that induces the value of theoretical knowledge and textual questions. Plab 2 assesses and gauges the clinical assessments, communication skills and patient treatment.
