Student Visas for the United Kingdom and Canada

The United Kingdom (UK)

Students who want to study in the United Kingdom (UK) must apply for a UK Student Visa (previously a Tier 4 UK Visa).
Recently, the UK Post-Study Work Visa Rules for International Students were loosened. The following rules apply when applying for a UK Student Visa:
- It is only available for full-time study.
- A UK Student Visa application costs £363.
- During the school year, one may work up to 20 hours per week (on or off campus) and full-time during holidays (only on campus).

Canada

The visa for Canadian students is subject to the following regulations:

You must apply for a post-graduate employment visa within 90 days of completing your education.
For Indian candidates, a medical exam is required as part of the visa application procedure for Canada.
Spouses may work full-time if they are staying for a year or longer.
The application fee for this visa is CAD 150.
Work cannot exceed 20 hours each week. The student may work up to 40 hours a week during vacations, breaks, and summer sessions.
