NTA has introduced a new requirement for NEET 2025 registration which is the APAAR ID Card. APAAR ID is the digital identification of students that consists of the complete journey of Indian students in an encrypted state. It is the digital authentic identity of the Indian students that tracks all their previous records of students. It protects against any educational fraud and eliminates confusion regarding students’ information.
The Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID is a 12-digit digital student ID card that securely stores the permanent academic records of students. This initiative is part of the One Nation, One Student ID policy, ensuring a unified academic identity for all students across India.
Note: NTA on 24th January 2024, declared that the APAAR ID for NEET Exam is not a compulsory document. This information has provided relief to many students whose APAAR ID for NEET 2025 is not ready. Now, it is not necessary to have the APAAR ID Card while registering for the NEET 2025.
