Scholarships in Denmark

  • Government Scholarships of Denmark: This scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Education & Science, Denmark. It offers an amount of 6k DKK, full or partial tuition fees. It is offered by the Danish government to non-European students who want to study UG or PG programmes in Denmark.
  • Erasmus+ Programme: This scholarship is one of the best scholarship programmes offered by the Danish government, which covers monthly living expenses up to 7463 DKK, and tuition fees, travel costs and a monthly stipend. You can apply for this scholarship if you are pursuing a Joint PG course, which is in collaboration with a Danish institute and the Erasmus Mundus.
  • IT University of Copenhagen State Scholarships: This scholarship offers an amount that covers full tuition fees and living expenses of approximately DKK 7,800 per month. This merit-based scholarship applies to Indian and international students pursuing MSc programmes at the IT University of Copenhagen.

University of Southern Denmark (SDU) Scholarships

This financial assistance covers full tuition fees and living expenses of DKK 3,000 per month. SDU offers these scholarships to non-European Union students who pursue master’s courses in engineering and its related disciplines. The award includes the tuition fees and living costs to as well.

Aarhus University Scholarships

This scholarship covers the tuition fees and a partial monthly stipend for studying in Denmark. It varies depending on the programmes. It is applicable for master’s students only. The amount also varies depending on the applicant’s academic background.

Copenhagen Business School (CBS) Scholarships

CBS is one of the top schools to study at in Denmark for international students. The scholarship amount covers tuition fees and monthly living expenses of DKK 7,000. The selection is based on one’s achievements, academic and professional experience.

Visa Process

You are required to have a valid student visa if you want to study a UG or PG in Denmark. Typically, the government of Denmark offers visas for short and long stays for international students. This short-stay visa is known as a Schengen visa. The resident permit falls into the category of a long-stay visa. A Schengen visa allows you to stay between 90 and 180 days, while a residence permit is applicable for longer stays, allowing you to study, work and family reunification.
