At AMASOM, the MBBS course is divided into three main parts – BS, MD, and Internship – making the overall duration 6 years. After completing the BS program, students must appear for the NMAT (National Medical Admission Test) to secure a seat in the MD program. Passing the NMAT is mandatory; on failure, students must reappear. However, a student who already holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science can directly enrol in the MD program, which is considered equivalent to an MBBS degree in other countries.
