Mr Levon Harutyunyan founded Yerevan Haybusak University in 1990 as a private Armenian university. Yerevan Haybusak University is one of Armenia's most prestigious educational institutions. It has been open since 1991 and can be found on Abelyan Street in Armenia. There are three primary academic divisions, and they are the "Medicine" division, the "Economics" division, and the "Food Technology" division. The university aligns with the NMC and WHO guidelines. Moreover, it holds accreditations from global bodies such as FAIMER, ECFMG, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia. Yerevan Haybusak University maintains extensive worldwide relationships with cultural and educational organisations as well as foreign higher education institutions. In 2007, Yerevan Haybusak University established the International Academy of Education (IAE) in collaboration with the Armenian Open University and the International Relations Institute. Increasing numbers of international medical school applicants are choosing Armenia as their study abroad destination because of the country's excellent educational infrastructure, highly qualified teaching staff, and high quality of life.
