A product of far-sighted collaboration between the Government of Nepal and the International Society for Medical Education, the College of Medical Sciences in Nepal was founded in 1993 to provide quality medical education and is affiliated with Kathmandu University, while also accredited by the Nepal Medical Council. Led by Mr Nagendar K. Pampati, it has progressively carved its niche to become one of the leading private medical colleges of Nepal. The College of Medical Sciences started its Medical degree programmes in 1996, and has, till now, brought into it thousands of students from all over the world, among which includes a large number from India, who now take pride in being a CMS product. Our strong, able leadership of management, together with a team of extremely talented professionals, has helped us evolve into what can rightfully be stated to be one of the finest in the private medical education scenario in Nepal, with very bright, well-ventilated, spacious classrooms which are naturally lit and modern as per international standards, along with well-equipped multimedia class facilities which enhance the entire learning environment.

Bharatpur has a humid sub-tropical climate with hot summers, cold winters and monsoon. The surrounding area appears quite evergreen and humid throughout. The dry season is preferred by the people in general (Oct-April).
March to May The climate is warm and humid, with the sky being clear; the day temperature is around 30C- 35C. The afternoon would, however, be even warmer. The conditions are conducive for city sightseeing, touring gardens and exploring the city market.
December to February The climate is cool and mild; the average daily temperature would range between 10°C and 20°C, but the mornings and evenings could be cold. It is a good time in winter to indulge in activities like city tours and others.
Graduates can practice medicine in India upon completion of the FMGE/NExT.
