  • Doctoral research in any of the following fields is required of students: health research, engineering and natural sciences, or humanities and social sciences.
  • By May 1st, 2024, the candidate must have finished no more than 20 months of full-time doctoral coursework.
  • Should they apply as a joint research program, they must have finished their PhD degree in no more than 32 months as of May 1st, 2024.

University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship

The University of Calgary awards a scholarship each year to prospective first-year international students enrolled in any undergraduate program in Canada for the following fall term, provided they have met the university's English Language Proficiency criterion.

Renewable for two, three, and four years; eligibility is subject to maintaining payment of international differential tuition fees as an international student and attaining a GPA of 2.60 or above, which is determined by completing a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms. Only foreign students who are required to pay international tuition costs and who are not Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible for this Canadian award.
