It stands at the pinnacle of medical education in its country, receiving an official status as a “Research University” from the Kazakh government in 2022. For Indian students planning to pursue their MBBS in Kazakhstan, the university offers a 6-year General Medicine programme (equivalent to MBBS) in the English medium. More than 2,000 international students study across all its faculties, among whom over 500 are Indian students studying medicine. Al Farabi Kazakh National University has a base of over 85 clinical experts, with 3 PhD candidates in its Department of General Medical Practice of the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The university features a Healthcare Research Institute, a Keremet Student Service Center, and a dedicated Research Institute of Health. All these facilities ensure that students are engaged in rigorous academic training while prioritising students’ well-being. All students pursuing their MBBS abroad at the university receive research-based education and hands-on experience during their clinical rotations at the affiliated hospitals across the city.

After completing the coursework, students undergo clinical rotations, as per the curriculum. This directly meets the requirements of the National Medical Commission.
Our team ensures that our students enrol in the NMC-compliant foreign institutions to secure their clinical careers before starting their MBBS abroad journey. We keep up-to-date with the latest changes in the university’s policies and guidelines from the NMC.
