University of Manitoba

There is a public research institution in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, called the University of Manitoba. It is the institution with the longest continuous history in Western Canada, having been established in 1877. There is a blend of ancient and contemporary architecture on the campus of the University of Manitoba, which spans over 750 acres and contains a variety of structures. There are further campuses of the university located in the city of Selkirk as well as in downtown Winnipeg. The majority of the university's facilities are located in Fort Garry, which is a neighbourhood in the city of Winnipeg.
