Minimum Duration
The minimum duration of your chosen MBBS programme must be 5.5 years, with 4.5 years of academic training and 1 year of clinical exposure in an authorised hospital.
Medium of Instruction
The primary medium of instruction must be English in the respective foreign university. If the medium of instruction is Bilingual or the local language, then it will not be eligible for Indian licensure.
Mandatory Subjects
According to the NMC’s Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) framework, the foreign medical programme must have 19 mandatory subjects. Also, the FMGs should be equipped with clinical, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
Validity of the Degree
To be valid for practising in India, the foreign MBBS programme must be recognised by an authorised body of the country where the degree is being awarded. The University of East Sarajevo is recognised by the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of BiH.
Mandatory Internship
FMGs must complete a 12-month CRMI or Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship in a teaching hospital. This is mandatory for getting the MBBS qualification.
Indian Screening Tests
Students who wish to return to India and practice medicine here must qualify for the mandatory licensure examination (i.e, FMGE or NExT).

University of East Sarajevo Admission Process
Application
On the University of East Sarajevo’s website, submit an application and any necessary documentation. Bring your tenth and twelfth-grade report cards. To graduate from high school, you need to earn a grade of at least 50% in each of your required subjects: physics, chemistry, and biology.
Documents Required
You might have to provide a passport that is at least two years old in addition to filling out an application and providing a fee guarantee letter. To be considered for admission into the MBBS program, your age must be 17 or younger on the day that you submit your application to be eligible.
Verification
The members of the admissions staff would review the documents once the applicant had arrived at the college. In accordance with the guidelines, you will either receive a letter of acceptance or rejection.
NEET
NEET is 100% mandatory for all Indian students.
Fees
If your application is selected for further consideration by the university, you will be required to pay an initial admission fee. You should expect to get an acknowledgement letter from the admissions office shortly.
Visa
If your application is accepted, you will have at least 15 days to submit an application for a Bosnian visa.

MBBS Course Duration and Structure
University of East Sarajevo offers a 6-year MBBS program, taught entirely in English. The curriculum can be broken down into three distinct sections: Pre-Clinical, Para-clinical, and Clinical. The first 5 years are dedicated to theoretical training, and the final year is for a 1-year compulsory clinical internship. The MBBS programme is aligned with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and includes the 19 mandatory subjects.

There are high-end hostel facilities for medical students at the University of East Sarajevo. Students are accommodated in double-sharing dormitories. The rooms are decorated practically with minimal amenities. Students will get comfortable beds, study tables, cupboards, towels, a TV, a refrigerator, breakfast, etc. Students can book half board or full board. The price of a full board is around 250 euros per month.
