Brunel celebrated its 50th anniversary as a university in 2016. However, our predecessor colleges, Borough Road College, Maria Grey College, Shoreditch College, the West London Institute of Higher Education, as well as Acton Technical College and then Brunel College, can be used to trace our history all the way back to 1798. Since 1966, we have experienced an impressive upsurge, and our reputation keeps improving. Our unique strategy aims to blend academic rigour with the practical, entrepreneurial, and inventive attitude pioneered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Currently, our institution has 12,746 students, 3,309 of whom are enrolled in postgraduate and research studies.
There are three broad disciplines of study which this institution one of the best destinations to study abroad. They are namely : Colleges of business, art’s and social sciences, College of Engineering, Design and physical sciences and College of health, medicine and life science.
Three departments that span a variety of life sciences, clinical, and health-related topics make up the College of Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences. At the College, we employ over 300 academic, professional, and support staff to teach and train our 4000 students. We work diligently to achieve greatness and actively support the university's aims.
